Assalamu Alaykum, my name is Sabah, and I am the founder of Sabah’s Abayas. My abaya/modesty journey started at the age of thirteen, and wearing abaya is honestly something I love. I have never felt so free and liberated, knowing people are not able to judge me based on my body and this gives me the strength to step out every single day with confidence.

Ever since I started wearing abaya it had been my dream to one day be able to design and produce my own styles, however, for years it felt like just that; a dream. I could not wrap my head around the logistics and if I would ever be able to turn this dream into a reality. For years, I thought about whether I should take that risk, and start this business. But this year, 2022, with the continued support of my loved ones, I decided to begin this venture.

 As somebody who has been buying abayas for years, I noticed that there was a space in the market, for good quality, fashionable abaya's that were affordable. I wanted to cater to the needs of the sisters, by providing unique designs but also ensuring that sisters could have access to these abayas by pricing them right.

 By starting this business, I wish to empower muslim women, enabling them to feel confident whilst still being covered. I understand that my designs are unique, but this is something I wanted. I did not want to create an abaya business like others, I wanted to think outside the box, and bring all the ideas in my head, to life!
